What are Injectables?
For years, the only way to reverse the signs of aging was with surgery. Botox, Fillers (Juvéderm) and Kybella (injectable permanent fat destruction) have opened the door to non-invasive procedures for improving body and face contour with very little downtime.
When performed safely by an experienced injector, these minimally invasive treatments can make a positive difference without the lengthy recovery.
Botox® Cosmetic is the only FDA approved treatment to temporarily improve the appearance of both mild to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabella) and crow’s feet (lines around the sides of the eyes). Botox® can also be used to soften the lines and creases on the forehead, around the mouth, chin, and neck.
Cosmetic fillers are a class of injectables that temporarily improve volume loss in the midface, over the cheekbone, nasolabial creases, lips, marionette lines, smile lines, “smoker’s” lines, temples and other areas of the face. Over time, it is normal to see a change in the dimensions of the face. Noticeable volume loss in certain areas can make a once oval or round face appear more like an upside down triangle with the volume settling in the lower face. Even in youth, patients often seek more fullness in their lips and cheekbones. The art of Botox and fillers can enhance and restore beauty and confidence.
The first of its kind on the market, KYBELLA™, is an injected solution (just like Botox and filler) that is FDA-approved to reduce submental fullness or “the double chin.” The treatment is effective due to its active ingredient deoxycholic acid, which naturally occurs in the body to help metabolize fat. KYBELLA™ dissolves excess fatty tissue where injected; thus creating a more defined appearance. Traditionally, this fat reduction was only possible through more invasive procedures like liposuction. KYBELLA™ has proven to offer beautiful contouring results without the need for surgery.
